(1) For the purpose of Section 21 of the Act, the relevant District Water Resources Committee has been designated as an officer.
(2) The authority of the Government of Nepal to conduct a test on whether any water source is polluted or whether the quality of any water source is in accordance with sub-section (1) of Section 18 of the Act shall be the authority designated by the Government of Nepal by publishing a notice in the Nepal Gazette.
(3) The secretary of the Ministry of Water Resources has been assigned for the purpose of punishing under subsection (1), (2) and (3) of section 22 of the Act.
